Q: How do I change my core profession?
A: All changes in core profession must be approved by Team Women. Please submit your request to support@teamwomen.com.
Q: What are some ways I can use my Team Women membership to build my business?
A: 1. Take advantage of the opportunity to create a Team Women Chapter website. This will expose your businesses and you can update it monthly.
2. Encourage all chapter members to use a signature line with your Team Women Chapter website in it. This way you are sharing other member information with everyone you communicate with and they are doing the same for you!
3. Create a trifold flier with all your members, their professions and contact info so members can hand them out everywhere they go. Members who have a brick and mortar location can have them there for folks to pick up.
4. Post your photo and bio on the main Team Women website.
5. And the best way of course is to be constantly looking for and recruiting new members. Each new member has at least 300 people in their personal sphere whom they can refer to you!
Another benefit to most of these techniques is that they may also help grow your chapter membership!

It's March Madness , Team Women!
It has been wilder than a March hare around Team Women and getting wilder! As we breeze into March, chapters are springing up all over just like the freeway wild flowers! This month I will be traveling to the Grand Opening of the Santa Barbara, Atlanta Perimeter and Madison Chapters. Going on a road trip!
Oh yeah, and Kevin and I won a trip to Maui and we will be leaving March 8 th for a week, so while we are there I am having informational meetings for Team Women on Maui, Oahu, Kona on the Big Island, and Kauai!
And being watching for possible chapters opening soon in Panama City, Panama and Switzerland! Seeing women come together to support each other in achieving their business dreams makes me excited to wake up every morning.
In February I attended a two and a half day seminar with Jack Canfield. I have always been a huge fan and have read all of his books. During the course of program I had several ah-ha moments. One is that my most important core value is FREEDOM! No wonder, I want to travel the country in a motor home.
In Jack Canfield’s book The Success Principles, he has broken down success into six areas. The first area is The Fundamentals of Success and as business owners and entrepreneurs the 24 principles he lists are critical to our personal and business success. Principle number one is:
“Take 100% Responsibility for Your Life”
In taking one hundred per cent responsibility, Jack says you have to:
1. Give up all of your excuses
2. If you do not like your outcomes, change your responses
3. You have to give up blaming
4. You have to give up complaining
Taking one hundred per cent of responsibility for our success is business can be difficult. When I was a real estate agent; lots of agents would say the market is no good, people are not buying, interest rates are too high etc. What I found was that people needed to be buying and selling homes every day regardless of the market conditions.
I admit sometimes it can be comforting to blame others when things don’t happen the way we want. It takes the focus off of us and what we could have done differently or done more of. However, when we say “well that did not work” and try something new two good things happen. One – we learned what did not work and we only have to learn each lesson once. Two – we have the opportunity to try something new which could work better.
When we take 100% responsibility, we can always effect the outcome!
Cheers, Judi Finneran Team Women

Melissa Kanawyer has been a member of Team Women since 2006. She started as the treasure of the Laguna Niguel Chapter and then moved into the President position for one year. Melissa was awarded the 2006 Award for Excellence at the Team Women celebration dinner. She is currently a member of the Laguna Beach chapter and serves as the secretary. Melissa joined Team Women because she wanted to learn how to network with other business women, and she is passionate about helping women succeed in business. This is especially evident in her current business. As a Team Leader for WineShop at home, she helps her team set goals and come up with plans to achieve them. She has been with WineShop since last May and loves what she does. She likes educating people about wine and food pairing. Her favorite part of her business is helping others acheive their goals. She has a growing team and a goal of hers is to help others become Team Leaders with WIneShop.
Melissa loves the women of the Laguna Beach Chapter. “It is like hanging out with your friends every other week. We have a great core group of women with great ideas and everyone is always looking for how they and help each other,” she says.
Melissa got married last year to Ken, she has 3 boys - Trey 11, Mason 9, and Ashton 6 from a previous marriage and Ken has a 15 year old Son Casey. They enjoy going to Nascar events, camping, and going to the movies.
