Q: I'm a Team Women member. How do I update my profile and picture on the website?
A: One of the benefits of Team Women membership is that you can have a profile and photo up on the Team Women website on your chapter's page. Here's how to do it:
Member Instructions for Entering Bio and Uploading Picture
- Click on “Member Only Login”
- Enter your email address and password.
- Use your email address on file with Team Women.
- The password is case sensitive.
- Click on “Edit Profile”
- Scroll down and enter your bio and make any other changes you wish to in your profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and click “Browse” to find the picture you wish to upload.
- After you have selected your picture click “Upload”
- The page will “blink” (for lack of a better description)
- Click “Update”
- The page will “blink” again.
- Scroll to the top and your picture will appear!
Q: What if my chapter wants to change the date and/or time that we meet?
A: Once a chapter begins meeting, they cannot change the day of the week and/or the time of the meeting. Even if all members seemingly agree to the change, many times several members are only agreeing in order to avoid being "difficult." The bottom line is that women often join a chapter BECAUSE it fits their schedule. If that changes, and the chapter no longer works for a member, she is encouraged to transfer to another chapter that has her core profession spot open.
Q: How does the whole "core profession" thing work? What if I represent more than one line of procuts?
A: Members must represent a discipline which is their main business or represents a substantial part of their business activities. In instances where a member provides more than one product or service, the member must designate a “single” core business.
If your company offers more than one major product line or major service, you must designate one “core line.” This allows for maximum participation of members with exclusive representation within TWI.
Here are a couple of examples to further clarify a single core business by product or service: 1) a member who represents Arbonne might designate that “skin care” is her core business while another member perhaps from Mary Kay might designate her core business as “cosmetics” or 2) a member who is a Realtor might designate “residential real estate” and another member as a Realtor might designate “commercial real estate”. In either of these examples, they are totally different products/services with different purposes. A member may only represent herself to TWI as their “single” core business – one and only one.

Let Freedom Ring, Team Women!
In August, I will be attending the week long program "Breakthrough to Success" with Jack Canfield in Scottsdale, AZ. I signed up for this intensive program at the weekend workshop I attended here in San Diego several months ago. My big take away from the weekend in San Diego was that my number one personal value is "Freedom." In America, we celebrate our country's freedom in the month of July.
Freedom to me means to be able to do what I want, when I want, where I want with whom I want! That is freedom. To achieve this freedom, we must be financially free. Many of us have been taught to focus on unlimited income is not the right thing to do and makes us selfish or greedy. In his book, No B.S. Wealth Attraction for Entrepreneurs (No B.S.) Dan Kennedy shares 26 wealth magnets. Once we incorporate them into our life, we are free us to achieve financial success.
Wealth Magnet 1 is "No Guilt"
Kennedy believes an impediment to us achieving wealth is thinking the amount of wealth is limited. Believing every dollar you receive comes to you at someone else's expense turns down your wealth attraction magnet.
Wealth Magnet 2 is "Unequivocal Belief in Abundance!"
Team Women is based on unlimited abundance. There is more than enough business for all of us. There is collaboration, not competition in Team Women. With an abundant mind set, we are eager to share and give and when we do our own abundance increases. We want members who join Team Women to be committed to creating success and abundance for the members in their chapters by always focusing on providing highly qualified referrals to their Team Members.
Dan Kennedy states "It is a huge, huge, huge mistake for you to accept any part of the suggestion that money's tight or hard to get, that your customers don't have money or won't spend it. And if by some freak, rare, incredible chance you actually have managed to put yourself into a position where the people you are doing business with are short of money or are tight about spending it, bubba, you choose your customers. Switch to those who freely spend. There are plenty of them out there. The trend is toward mass affluence. Get with it."
As we celebrate our country's freedom on the 4th of July, I encourage you to look inward and do a check up from the neck up on your personal wealth attitudes. What is getting in the way of achieving all you want from your business? Financial freedom equals personal freedom; doing what you want, when you want, where you want and with whom you want.

"Entrepreneurs have two basic assets: their creativity and their relationships." -- Mark Victor Hansen

Meet Cindy Staples of Advanced Network Consulting, computer consulting services in the Yorba Linda Chapter! Cindy has been a Team Women member since April 2006 and has served as President, and now Secretary of her chapter. Cindy formed ANC with her husband of 14 years, Chris, and together they have been providing full service tech support for small and medium size businesses for over 5 years. This is Chris’s 12 th year in the industry and he’s seen many changes, and has adjusted their business to best serve the needs to of their clients. ANC provides what small businesses need: reliable, professional, and personable support for businesses without the expense of having a fulltime employee.
Advanced Network Consulting is a full service computer consulting company for Los Angeles, Orange, and North San Diego Counties, providing cabling, office moves, network security and connectivity, server installs and upgrades, web design and maintenance. One of the highlights of their business is meeting with the business owners to plan, strategize, and implement an infrastructure for a new venture. With ANC’s many connections, establishing a new business is as simple as a phone call. Chris and Cindy will coordinate with the contractor, electricians, phones service provider, printer, web developer and host, and any other vendors involved when establishing a business. We’ll take you from an empty shell of a building to a secure network and fully functioning office.
Cindy realized that joining Team Women would enable her to educate women business owners on the importance of maintaining and securing their business computer systems. Joining Team Women exposed Cindy to many women business owners and making sure their needs are being met, especially in a non threatening, personable way. “We build trust and rapport with our clients; make them feel as ease and for them to know that we have a vested interest in seeing their business succeed.”
Team Women Yorba Linda has seen shrinkage, and now growth. “I’m excited about our group! I feel that our members really understand the basis of giving and getting referrals, and are sincere about helping members grow their businesses.” Cindy hopes to visit more chapters in Southern California to meet more members and to aid in expanding her business.
Advanced Network Consulting offers same day or next day services, emergency calls, and scheduled services. For more information about ANC and our services, visit www.ancsite.com. Questions? Feel free to email or call and we’ll respond in a timely manner. Free One Hour Network Evaluation.

Team Women Hollister offers connections for business owners
Team Women Hollister, one chapter of a national networking group for women business owners, helps local women promote their local businesses.
Irene Sanchez, an independent contractor for the home-based business, Isagenix Health Supplement, was one of the group's founding members. Isagenix is a health and wellness company that sells a line of nutritious food, Sanchez said.

Being Clear About Your Purpose...
Why do you do what you do? knowing the answer to that question, can keep us on track and doing what we need to do to achieve our goals. Being clear on our "why" is the best motivation for our whats.
In The Success Principles, Jack Canfield said "I believe each of us it born with a life purpose. Identifying, acknowledging and honoring this purpose is perhaps the most important action successful people take. They take the time to understand what they are here to do - and then pursue that with passion and enthusiasm." Be Clear Why You're Here is Jack's Success Principle 2.
"It is the soul's duty to be loyal to its own desires. It must abandon itself to its master passion" ~Dame Rebecca West, Best-Selling Author
Jack Canfield's Life Purpose Exercise
1. List two of your unique personal qualities, such as enthusiasm and creativity.
______________________________ _____________________________________
2. List one or two ways you enjoy expressing those qualities when interacting with others, such as to to support or to inspire.
_______________________________ ______________________________________
3. Assume the world is perfect right now. What does this world look like? How is everyone interacting with everyone else? What does it feel like? Write your answers as a statement, in the present tense, describing the ultimate condition, the perfect world as you see it and feel it. Remember, a perfect world is a fun place to be.
Example: Everyone is freely expressing their own unique talents. Everyone is working in harmony. Everyone is filled with a passion for what they do
__________________________________________________________________________
__________________________________________________________________________
__________________________________________________________________________
4. Combine the three prior subdivisions of this paragraph into a single statement.
Example: My purpose it to use my creativity and enthusiasm to support and inspire others to freely express their own unique talents with passion.
__________________________________________________________________________
__________________________________________________________________________
__________________________________________________________________________
I did this exercise at the weekend event I attended and I am sure I will be doing again at the Breakthrough to Success workshop in August. I will share my final statement with you in the September newsletter and I would love to have you share yours with me if you would like.
