Q: As a member, can I ask the Team Women staff to send out an email about an event, opportunity, or product to the rest of the membership? Can I do it myself?
A: The foundation for Team Women's ability to build your business is personal relationships - these are connections made in person, over time.
It is against Team Women policy to send emails to members of other chapters unless you have met them personally and they do not have a member with your core profession in their chapter. Likewise, Team Women will not send emails on a member's behalf to the rest of the membership.
If you receive what appears to be a mass email from anyone purporting to be a Team Women member or otherwise endorsed by Team Women, please foward the email to support@teamwomen.com.

It's Not About the Economy, Team Women!
If you listen to the radio and watch television, the news about the economy is all doom and gloom. While there is a lot going on, this does not have to be your personal story. As in all news, people tend to focus on what is wrong, not what is right.
On our most recent All Member Call, I started by asking each participant about the best thing which had happened in her business that week. The first three ladies responded, “working with all my new customers and clients!” What? Aren’t they listening to the news? There is no new business happening. WRONG!
Now, more than ever, it is important to have a positive mindset and take positive action in our businesses. We can’t allow our thoughts to linger in doom and gloom land. We may simply need to make adjustments in the way we are doing our business. If we have always done something one way and it is not working, do something new and different.
Also, take action every single day in your business. Make sure you make a minimum of one phone call, or send one handwritten note, or ask for one more referral – take an action, every day!
And remember to be grateful for our clients and our customers. Send them a letter thanking them for doing business with you, acknowledging to them how important that is and how much it means to you.
The bottom line is, do not give others (radio, TV, etc.) control over your life and your success. You are in charge of your own success and you make it happen. You have all the power; use it… Girl Power Rocks!!!!
Cheers, Judi Finneran Team Women

"Thank you! I am thrilled to part of TWSA. I appreciate the value of working in teams and did not need to be persuaded; as soon as I read the article, I called Susy and signed up. What is remarkable is I read the newspaper maybe once a week; I just happen to pick it up that morning." - Annette Skalomenos, TW San Antonio, TX in response to her welcome letter from Judi.

Team Women San Antonio had a fabulous grand opening meeting and has 11 new members in October alone! The response was due, in part, to an article in the San Antonio Express-News, picked up from our Team Women Press Release. You can read the article titled, "Women Team Up to Help Each Other" HERE.

Take Advantage of Every Opportunity
Generating referrals for our Team Members is our responsibility as a member of Team Women. One way to do that is “always be listening to what people are saying.” Begin by paying attention and asking question about each member’s showcase. The more understanding and clarity you have about what they do, the easier to refer business to them.
Next, in your day-to-day life, listen to what others are saying and challenge yourself to find a way to give them a referral. The opportunities are endless and you just have to be paying attention. You never know when whom you know can help a team member build her business.
This past week I attended the kick off for the new Team Women Colorado Springs Chapter. On the ride from the airport to my hotel I asked the driver where he was from and how he chose driving a cab as a business. I always love the stories. In his case, he, his wife and one and two year old sons have moved to the area six months ago from Northern California to be able to have a more affordable lifestyle and allow his wife to be a stay at home mom.
He was sharing with me how many new cab drivers there were in the area and how cut throat the competition was. He said he needed to be able to find something to do to increase his repeat business. After thinking a moment, I asked if he did a lot of local pickups to take people to the airport and he said yes. “You have their home address and name then, right?” I asked and he said yes.

“What if everyday you were to mail a thank you note to each customer, thanking them for choosing you and including two business cards. One would be for them to use the next time they needed a cab and one to give to a friend.” This was my suggestion to him and he loved, loved, loved it and thought it was a great idea to set him apart from all the other drivers in the local area. He said his wife would love to send the cards as a way to help him build his business and she could do it from home.
The next morning at the Team Women Colorado Springs meeting, I passed all of his contact info including name and telephone number to the Send Out Cards distributor who attended. Voila – a great pre-qualified referral!
All by asking one simple question. To whom can you ask a question today? You never know where it will lead and if you don’t ask, you won’t receive!
"Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference." ~Winston Churchill
