Causes and Organizations Team Women Supports

At Team Women we believe in giving back and supporting organizations that support causes we hold dear to our hearts. Here are just a few we support.

Laura's House:
Team Women recently held a fundraiser for Laura's House raising $1200 for their foundation. WAY TO GO MEMBERS!! Laura's House is preventing and reducing the incidence of domestic and family violence through shelter and support services, education and outreach. We plan on adopting families for the holidays this year, and many more fundraisers for Laura's House to follow. You can read more about Laura's House and the amazing things they do at http://www.laurashouse.org

Michelle's Place:
Women's Breast Cancer Resource Center of Murrieta and Temecula Valley, CA. Another wonderful cause supporting women. Through a grant from the Inland Empire Susan G. Komen Foundation affiliate Michelle's Place has the ability to provide personal assistance to its participants during the treatment process.
Low Cost or Free Mammograms, Ultrasounds and Biopsies. Self-help and Stress Management Classes for Survivors, Newly diagnosed and Women currently going through cancer. To learn more about Michelle's Place visit http://www.michellesplace.org

The American Heart Association - Go Red For Women:
Cardiovascular disease, including stroke, claims more women’s lives than the next six causes of death combined — nearly 500,000 a year, nearly twice as many as all forms of cancer.

You can do a lot to prevent cardiovascular disease and stroke. It begins by learning all you can about these serious health threats and working to reduce your risks. More research needs to be done on heart disease and stroke in women, but we already can share a lot of life-enhancing information. Educate yourself and your family. Then do something about it. Visit Go Red For Women to learn more. Join and get your free Red Dress Pin to support the cause...
